Switch workspace lists the other workspaces you belong to and takes you to one of them without signing in again. It only appears when you are a member of more than one workspace.
Why this protects your organisation
Advisers and people in a group of companies often work in several workspaces. Each workspace lives at its own address with its own session, so information from one organisation never ends up in the other. Switching keeps that separation while sparing you a new sign-in.
Steps
- Open Switch workspace in the Workspace group.
- Find the workspace you want in the list.
- Choose Switch to this workspace.
- You arrive in that workspace, signed in, at its own address.
Every workspace runs at its own address, and your session there only applies to that address. Switching therefore moves you to the other address with a one-time token that is valid for a short time only and is tied to you and to that workspace. It never appears in the address bar once you have arrived.
Each switch is recorded in the Audit log of the workspace you move to.
You can also sign in centrally and choose a workspace from the list of your workspaces. See Logging in.
If it does not work
Switch workspace is not in the menu
You are a member of one workspace only. Ask the owner of the other workspace to add you on Members.
A workspace I expected is not in the list
The list shows only workspaces you are a member of, apart from the one you are in. If one is missing, you have not been added to it or have been removed.
I have different rights in the other workspace
Your role is set per workspace. You can be owner in one and advisor in another.
