Solution
Your first certification. Start with your company, not with the standard.
A first ISO 27001 certification often starts with a customer asking for it and a team that has never built a management system. Trustbird begins with questions about how your company works and builds the ISMS from your answers. You always see what is done, what is open and who is working on it.
- Plain questions instead of clause numbers
- A clear view of what is still open
- A structure ready for your next standard
What makes a first certification manageable
Most of the effort in a first certification goes into knowing where to start and keeping track of everything. Trustbird takes care of the structure so your team can focus on the decisions.
An interview, not a template
The assistant asks about your teams, products, systems and suppliers. Your answers become the context, scope and asset list of your ISMS.
Draft documents to review
Trustbird proposes policy and procedures that fit your answers. You adjust and approve them, and nothing counts until a named person has signed off.
A risk register that makes sense
Proposed risks are based on what you described. You decide on likelihood, impact and treatment, and link the controls that follow.
Progress you can show
See per clause, per control and per owner what is finished. Management gets a clear picture without a separate status report.
Evidence gathered along the way
Attach evidence when you implement a control, not in the weeks before the audit. Trustbird tells you what is missing.
An internal audit first
Run your first internal audit and management review in Trustbird before the certification audit. Certification bodies expect both to have taken place, and you find the gaps yourself first.
The route to your first certificate
-
01
Set the scope
Decide which products, locations and teams the certificate covers, based on what your customers ask for.
-
02
Build the core
Answer the questions, review the drafts and complete your risk assessment.
-
03
Put controls into practice
Assign owners, implement what is open and attach evidence as you go. An auditor wants to see controls working over time, not only described.
-
04
Audit and review
Run the internal audit and management review, then share the file with your certification body.
Frequently asked questions
- Do we need a consultant for a first certification?
- Not necessarily, but many companies work with one. A consultant can work in Trustbird with you. Trustbird gives structure and drafts, and your team and adviser make the decisions.
- How long does a first certification take?
- That depends on your size, your scope and how much is already in place. Trustbird shows what is still open so you can plan realistically, but it cannot promise a date.
- Does Trustbird guarantee that we pass the audit?
- No. Certification is granted by a certification body after an audit. Trustbird helps you build a management system that works and a file that is complete and easy to follow.
