My tasks

Last checked on

My tasks lists every task assigned to you, with the soonest deadline first. You see what to do, why it matters and what it belongs to, and you complete a task straight from the list.

Why this protects your organisation

Most security work is small and scattered: revoke an account here, check a supplier there. When nobody keeps track of it, it quietly stops happening and nobody notices until an incident or an audit. Having your own list, sorted by deadline and with the reason for each task, means you know what is expected of you without having to ask around.

Steps

  1. Open My tasks in the Today group.
  2. Read each task: the action first, with why it matters and the risk or measure it belongs to underneath.
  3. Click a task to see its details, such as the description, the owner and the requirements it also covers.
  4. Click Complete when you have done it. The task stays in the list with the status Completed.

My tasks shows only the tasks assigned to you, whatever they came from: a follow-up on an incident, an action from a management review, a step when a colleague joins or leaves, or a task a colleague created by hand.

Tasks without a deadline come last. Tasks you completed stay visible, so you can look back at what you did.

The columns are Title, Priority, Status and Due. High and urgent priorities are marked in a warning colour, never red. A task prepared by Trustbird always carries a reason, so you know why it is worth doing before you start.

To create a task for someone else, change a deadline or reassign a task, use Tasks.

If it does not work

The list says Nothing assigned to you, but a colleague assigned me a task

Tasks are assigned to people under People, not directly to accounts. Trustbird finds you through your email address, so there must be a person under People with exactly the email address you sign in with.

There is no Complete button next to a task

Complete only appears for tasks that are open or in progress. A task that is already completed or cancelled has nothing left to complete.

An overdue task has a coloured deadline

A deadline that has passed on a task that is not finished is marked in a calm warning colour. Complete the task, or ask its owner to move the deadline on the Tasks screen.
