Today
Last checked on
Today is the first screen after you open a workspace. It shows four figures about your management system and one list of everything that needs your attention, with the soonest deadline first.
Why this protects your organisation
Customers and auditors do not judge you on what you once wrote down, but on whether you keep it up. That comes down to small actions done on time. Today shows you in a single glance what is due, why it matters and how your measures, risks and standards are doing, so you can spend your attention where it counts instead of searching for it.
Steps
- Open a workspace, or click Today in the Today group.
- Read the four figures at the top for a quick sense of where things stand.
- Work through Needs your attention from the top. Overdue items come first.
- Click a line to open the task or the record it concerns, and complete it there.
The four figures
- Measures in order: how many of your active measures currently have the signal that they are in order, out of all active measures.
- Risks above your limit: open risks that score above the acceptance level of your risk assessment method.
- Your actions this week: your open tasks with a deadline in the next seven days, or already overdue.
- Covered per standard: for each standard you adopted, how many of its requirements have at least one active measure linked to them.
The figures count the whole workspace, except Your actions this week, which is about you alone.
Needs your attention
One list for you personally, combining two sources:
- every open task assigned to you;
- every scheduled review you carry out, or of a record you own (a document, risk, supplier, measure or piece of evidence), that falls due within 30 days or is overdue.
Each line starts with what to do, followed by why it matters, the owner and the deadline. Overdue lines are at the top with the word overdue. When nothing is waiting, the screen says so and tells you what is planned next for you.
Help with getting started
Some workspaces also see a block called Help with getting started at the top. Whether it appears depends on what you told us when you signed up, such as a customer asking for certification with a deadline in view. It offers a conversation about onboarding.
If it does not work
Needs your attention says nothing is waiting for me, but I expected tasks
The list only shows items for the person under People whose email address matches the one you sign in with. Check that such a person exists, and that the tasks are assigned to them and still open or in progress.
Covered per standard says No standard adopted yet
Adopt a standard under Standards in the Prove group. The figure then shows, per standard, how many of its requirements have at least one active measure.
Risks above your limit shows a number I do not recognise
It counts open risks whose score is above the acceptance level set in your risk assessment method. Accepted, resolved and archived risks do not count. Check the method under Risk assessment method in the Risks group.
